Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by Guest

For any private tour booked with us, the following cancellation fees will apply to requests made 10 days or less prior to the scheduled tour date:

  • 10-7 days prior: 20% of the total tour fee will be charged.
  • 6-2 days prior: 30% of the total tour fee will be charged.
  • 1 day prior: 40% of the total tour fee will be charged.
  • On the day of the tour (prior to the start time): 50% of the total tour fee will be charged.
  • No-show: 100% of the total tour fee will be charged.

Cancellation requests must be made in writing, either via email to info@lgj.jp or through a message on WhatsApp. The request will be considered received and valid upon our confirmation.

Our Right to Cancel

LOCAL GUIDE JAPAN reserves the right to cancel tours due to inclement weather, insufficient bookings, events beyond our control, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such a case, we may offer alternate dates, or provide a refund excluding a 10% planning fee.

Schedule Changes & Unforeseen Circumstances

Please note that LOCAL GUIDE JAPAN may change your tour or activity schedule due to inclement weather, events beyond our control, or other unforeseen circumstances. In that case, no refunds for shortened hours will be made.

Insurance and Liability

Your safety is our top priority. Please be advised that LOCAL GUIDE JAPAN will not be held liable for any accident that occurs before, during, or after a tour or activity.
We strongly recommend that all guests secure their own comprehensive travel or recreational insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances during their journey.
Please also be advised that guest cancellations of our tours or activities due to inclement weather conditions are not subject to compensation.
