-Expert Coordination: From checking the availability of childcare (nursery) services to navigating the best terrain for each family member, your guide manages every detail. We monitor live weather and lift operations each morning to propose the resort with the best conditions for the day.
■ Excursion to the Myoko Area: Beyond the Hakuba Valley
For guests wishing to explore more of Japan’s legendary snow country, we offer guided day trips from Hakuba to the Myoko area in Niigata Prefecture. Known for its massive snow accumulation and nostalgic Japanese atmosphere, Myoko offers a unique contrast to Hakuba.
-Explore 11 Distinct Resorts: Depending on your curiosity and skill level, we can guide you to any of the 11 resorts in the region, including Lotte Arai Resort, Myoko Suginohara (known for Japan’s longest runs), and the heavy snowfall of Seki Onsen. (Resorts: Akakura Onsen, Akakura Kanko, Ikenotaira Onsen, Myoko Suginohara, Seki Onsen, Kyukamura Myoko, Myoko Ski Park, Lotte Arai Resort, Madarao Mountain Resort, Tangram Ski Circus, and Cupid Valley.)
-Multi-Day Myoko Immersion: If you wish to explore the Myoko area over several days, your dedicated guide can accompany you for a multi-day stay in the region. We provide the initial transport from Hakuba to Myoko, and for those returning to Hakuba, we also provide the return transport at the end of your Myoko experience. (Please note: While we provide professional guiding and transport from Hakuba, guests are responsible for arranging their own accommodation in the Myoko area. Your guide will also stay in the area to provide seamless, daily support at no additional cost for the guide’s stay.)
■ Customized Excursions Upon Request

Before You Book
Our goal is to provide a seamless and safe experience for all our guests. For your safety and convenience, please review the following details regarding insurance, pricing, and service:
- Duration Surcharge: The standard tour duration is up to 8 hours. A surcharge of ¥10,000 will apply for every 30 minutes that the tour exceeds this duration.
- Equipment: The tour price does not include fees for equipment rentals, such as skis, snowboards, boots, and other gear.
- Lift Passes: Lift tickets are not included in the tour price.
- Insurance: For your peace of mind, we strongly recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel and activity insurance prior to the tour. Please ensure your policy covers your specific itinerary and any planned outdoor activities.
- Personal Belongings: LOCAL GUIDE JAPAN is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal items, including mobile phones, cameras, and gear, during the tour. We recommend keeping your belongings secure and carrying only what is necessary.
- Weather Policy: In the case of severe weather, the tour may be canceled or its duration adjusted for your safety and comfort. We may also propose alternative options, such as a sightseeing tour, to ensure you still have a wonderful and memorable day. In the event of a cancellation, a refund will be issued minus a 10% administrative fee. Please note that no refunds will be provided for tours that are shortened due to changing conditions.
- Tax Information: All prices listed are inclusive of 10% consumption tax.
